This last weekend, I went for a walk in the woods. At least that was my intention. I went to a secret park that very few people know about. Even some of the people I’ve met who live on the same rural road as the park have said they had no idea it was there. But this time, when I arrived there were five other cars in the parking lot, and the forest trail at this park has only one loop that tracks back on itself. So…I decided to do what any self-respecting quiet faerie would do in such a circumstance: I tucked myself away into a glade right near the start of the trail, and sat and made myself a flower crown from strands of ground ivy until I saw most of the cars exit the parking lot.

Then I went for my walk in the woods.
