Christmas House Tour 2021

I’ve been rather quiet on here for a couple of months now. One of the biggest reasons has been that as those of you who have been around for a little while know, I am a huge aficionado of the Christmas season. I throw myself into it as wholeheartedly and without reservation as a five year old into a ball pit. And “the Big Show,” as it’s called in the wonderful movie Elf, takes a lot of my time and focus.

But if you don’t believe me, now I have proof. Here is a video tour of my holiday house decorations this year. Clocking in at 25 minutes, this is the longest tour video I’ve filmed, but we also decked the halls more thoroughly than ever before as well. This year was especially time consuming: In this video I debut a first look at my “Mrs. Claus Apothecary,” a themed project in my kitchen that had basically no ready-made decorations available. I had to create everything from scratch.

Coming up in a week or so, I’ll be sharing another video tour of every detail of this Apothecary, presented in an “in-world” immersive style. I also hope to share some making-of information and tidbits. But in the mean time, this video gives a good overview of what I wanted to create.

So make yourself some cocoa, settle down with your favorite blanket, and take a while to jump into the Christmas ball pit with me as I share all my bedecked halls.
