Wonderful News For The Elders of My Community

Wonderful news from out of my home town today. I received a letter from the woman in charge of the Be a Santa to a Senior program I posted about a couple of weeks ago. The program was getting ready to wind down this weekend, but her email informed me to let everyone know that thanks to incredibly generous donations, they have now met their goal to bring the wished-for gifts to ALL the local seniors who had asked for support.

She expressed her joy at this turn of events, and confirmed that Cinnamon Gingersnap, the Christmas Elf in Training, has definitely now earned her red and white striped stockings as a full-fledged Christmas elf.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped make up for the fact that we couldn’t put up a tree where I work to help promote this program. Because of you, so many senior citizens in need in my home county will have a moment of joy this holiday season.
